Madonna banning hair dye and boys

Pop Diva Madonna is being a good mum by trying to protect her daughter Lourdes from what is out there. In addition to talking to the Huffington Post, In Touch Weekly got a statement about why dating will have to wait.

She may have been wild in her younger years, but now, Madonna is a no-nonsense mother of four--with super-strict guidelines for her eldest daughter, 13-year-old Lourdes "Lola" Leon. The Material Mom exclusively tells In Touch that Lola can't dye her raven locks until she's 14--and that dating is out of the question for the high school freshman. "No!" Lola answered when asked if she has boyfriends--as Madonna shook her head and grimaced in disgust--at the launch of their juniors clothing line, Material Girl, at Macy's in New York. Despite the rules, the mother/daughter pair is close, even holding hands as they posed on the pink carpet at the event. "I think she's doing a really good job!" Lola told In Touch when asked about her mother's parenting skills. Madonna admitted that raising a down-to-earth daughter in the public eye isn't easy. "It does require a lot of time and effort and paying attention," she told In Touch. Hopefully, 10-year-old Rocco and 5-year-olds David and Mercy will be just as well behaved in their teen years!

Google’s coming out with Fashion Engine

On Tuesday, the 17th of November Google launched Boutiques.com, a fashion engine that facilitates the search for clothing online and works similar to what Pandora does for music. This search engine will pin down the search for specific clothing items and will therefore make online shopping more efficient and satisfying. Google stated that the idea for this product came about when their team was simply joking and playing around. "A year and half ago, our team started to wonder if we could create a better experience for people to shop online. We jokingly called ourselves the computer nerds and fashion nerds. So, we set out to create a new way to browse, discover and shop for soft goods online."

The engine searches by images instead of text with visual search technology developed by Google’s acquired Like.com. The site is also able to search specifically according to your style if you take a quiz or hitting the “More My Style” tab when browsing through images. This process will create your own boutique and enable you to find clothes that are similar to that style.
