Ridley Scotts anticipated new trailer of “Prometheus” was released this week. The eerie trailer includes spacecrafts exploding, bodies flying and people screaming and of course goo covered aliens. When the trailer ends the screen reads: “They went looking for our beginning. What they found could be our end.”
Ridley Scott finally returns to the sci-fi genre with “Prometheus.” Scott made the original “Alien” 33 years ago and “Prometheus” was originally intended to be its prequel. The movie takes place 30 years before the first “Alien” and has a completely new cast and storyline. “Prometheus” is stars: Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Patrick Wilson and Guy Pearce. The movie involves a team of space explorers looking for an alien species responsible for the origin of mankind.
Waiting for the trailer to finally be released was like listening to nails on a chalk board. Before its release Scott introduced 30-second teaser clips throughout the week. In each of these clips Ridly Scott talks about the “the genre he redefined.”
